The Old Post Office, Rochdale / Rose

Giclée Print

Standing opposite Rochdale Town Hall is the beautiful, Grade II listed, former Post Office building. Built for purpose as a Post Office between 1923 -1927, its beautiful white Portland stone outer is a striking contrast to the neighbouring Town Hall’s blackened gritstone. Now home to offices and The Medicine Tap bar/restaurant, it’s yet another jewel in Rochdale town centre’s crown of special buildings.

This giclée print is made from my original pen and ink drawing, combined with a rose coloured background. I chose this colour to represent the muted art deco palette of this building’s opening era and the reds we associate with the Post Office.

Your print will be signed and dated, alongside the title of the artwork which will be written in the white border.
