A Portrait of Frida Kahlo
I love Frida Kahlo’s work, and with some extra influence from my own white cat, I redesigned one of her famous self portraits in my own doodle style!
This botanical scene features Frida herself, wearing a silk scarf decorated with hummingbirds and golden leaves. White cats are a positive omen, symbolising happiness, healing, and rebirth. I included two in my illustration – a twist on Frida’s original self-portrait which instead featured a single black cat.
In my illustration, she wears a Calla Lily flower brooch, which is a symbol of magnificence and beauty, a fitting tribute to this strong, driven and passionate woman.
This print has been professionally printed on heavyweight (300gsm) recycled white paper stock with a beautiful silk finish and is individually signed. It measures approximately 210mm square
