Why did I draw it?

The backstory

2020 was the year of the dinosaur for Rochdale. From 10th February to 28th June, Number One Riverside become home to the Natural History Museum’s most famous dinosaur – Dippy.

The visit marked the penultimate leg of the dinosaur’s two year tour around the UK and with it came plenty of dinosaur-related things to see and do around the town centre.

I wanted to create a series of drawings to mark the event. Gracie and the TriceratopsDiplodocus in the River Roch and Pterodactyls of Rochdale, make up the trio of illustrations. Each one depicts dinosaurs in town centre. locations
