I was invited to attend the Celebrate Deeplish 2022 by event curators Breaking Barriers Rochdale. My task was to creatively document this wonderful celebration of the fantastic Deeplish community and create a doodle collage that captured the togetherness and spirit of the event.
I documented the afternoon in live sketches and photographs which I later used to create the final illustration.
The artwork aims to capture the motion, energy and community spirit of the event. Each of the scenes, although separate as drawings are connected by a weaving yellow ribbon, which holds them together as one.
