Peregrine Falcon Illustrations for Rochdale Nature Trail

Commissioned by Rochdale Town Hall

I was commissioned by Rochdale Town Hall to create ten colour illustrations of peregrine falcons for use in their family-friendly nature trail in Broadfield Park.

Each illustration was hand drawn in pen on paper, scanned at high resolution and coloured digitally. The drawings showcase different features of the Peregrine Falcon’s physiology and life in Rochdale.

The Town Hall hosted three nature trail events during the Easter 2021 school holidays and saw over 180 local people take part. What a great way to enjoy the park and learn about the town’s biodiversity.

The Peregrine Falcon trail will continue to make an appearance in future school holidays, so more people have the opportunity to learn about these fantastic birds of prey.
