This historic cobbled street is perhaps one of the most culturally significant in Rochdale. The Cooperative movement was founded here at 31 Toad Lane in 1844. Now the Rochdale Pioneer’s Museum and the neighbouring pub, The Baum, if Toad Lane could talk, I bet it would have a story or two to tell!
